Example of a Market Research Recruitment Project
Clients across the country hire Drive Research to conduct market research recruitment projects. These include healthcare studies where our team recruits individuals who work in behavioral health. This particular study revolved around New York behavioral health care providers. Drive Research planned to recruit 36 participants across New York State (10 participants per group, 12 recruited). The qualitative research planned to use online focus groups to allow for a statewide recruit as well as ease of participation for the audience.
To address the objectives at-hand, Drive Research would recruit individuals through a combination of targeted phone calls, paid social media advertisements, and potential panel in the New York State area. The targeted population was psychiatrists, nurse practitioners with a psychiatric specialty, and Physician Assistants. The providers could service adults and children but could not service children only. The recruit would include a mix of roles and geographies.
A total of 3 separate groups would be run over the course of a 4-day online focus group. Participants would be required to login each day for at least 15 to 30 minutes to answer moderator questions, review other participant comments, and add video responses for the group. This is a total of 1 to 2 hours of time over a 4-day period. Each group would recruit 12 participants so at least 10 complete all steps. Unpaid alternate standby participants would be recruited by Drive Research.
Drive Research often offers the option to use our own focus group software to manage the discussions. Clients would be provided a moderator(s) login as well as several viewer logins to view focus group comments. Participants would be paid $250 as a thank you for their time. This would be paid by Drive Research at the conclusion of the discussion once they have met all of their obligations for the online focus groups.

This also involves a list purchase of targeted individuals with desired titles and roles. This is also used for the outreach approach.
Following the initial screening participants receive a confirmation email within 24 hours. Participants are required to reply back “yes” to this email. This is followed by a reminder phone call 24 to 48 hours before the online focus group and a final reminder text the first day of the focus group sessions. This helps produce strong participation and turn-out rates.
